UNBC Timberwolf Summer Basketball Camps (1:00AM - 1:00AM)
The River/Drive and PGTV are proud to present the 10th annual UNBC Timberwolf Summer Basketball Camps. These camps are open to kids in grades 2 to 12 with an Elite camp for secondary students in Grade 9 till 12. The camps will focus on the basic fundamentals and be lead by UNBC Women's Head Coach Loralyn Murdoch. Camps for Grades 2-6 and 7- 10 will take place July 14th-17th and August 5th to 8th. Elite camps for Grades 9 till 12 wil run August 11th to the 15th. All camps will take place at the new Charles Jago Northern Sports Centre at UNBC. Rivermania Fundraiser Event (8:00PM - 8:00PM)

Rivermania Fundraiser Event will take place at 8:00pm on  August 23rd, 2008 at  Art Space. Tickets are $25 Each and are available at Books & Company. Roy Forbes will play an intimate concert as a fundraiser for performance fees at Rivermania

Rivermania At Huble Homestead (9:00AM - 5:00PM)

Rivermania at Huble Homestead takes place at: 9:00am – 5:00pm on August 24, 2008 at the Huble Homestead Historic Site. Suggested donation is $3.00/child or senior, 5.00/adult, $10.00/family.

Celebrate Simon Fraser's historic journey, and BC 150 anniversary! Come Celebrate the Kick Off Event! Free pancake breakfast between 8am-11am for visitors, Site tour 9am-10am, Official boat launching at 10 am.  Boats that will travel all the way down to Steveson (Richmond), arriving on September 28th (Rivers Day).  Free catered pancake breakfast, Launch of Flotilla of the Prince George Paddlers Club, Voyageur Canoes & Kayaks, Entertainment by Nove Voce, Rusty Bucket Pluckers, Trevor Caswell, Roy Forbes, Highland Dancers and more.  All day guided tours and interpretation of Lheidli T’enneh Fish Camp, Games & Crafts for the Kids.  River Jetboat Safaries will be on site for rides with historical interpretation cost is $35 per person $15 per child Call Vic at 962-8913 for more information or to book rides from town to Huble Homestead.
