Forest & Resources Expo takes place on June 5, 6 & 7 at the Prince George Exhibition Grounds.

Forest & Resources Expo 2008 will look distinctly different from its Forest Expo predecessors. In recognition of the growing multi-resources based economy in BC, the Expo has expanded to include the mining and oil & gas industries. The Prince George Exhibition Grounds will be filled not only with logging equipment but mining and petroleum industry equipment as well. Seminars being offered this year reach across the broader resource industry spectrum, and are based on the theme of Shared Issues. Topics include: The workforce of tomorrow, resource roads & road user groups, substance use in the workplace, safety management, new technologies, and engaging First Nations in a meaningful way. This years fresh ideas and activities include a chainsaw carving competition, Big Rig Show ‘n Shine Truck Show, a trucking safety demo, and an interactive safe driving display involving go-carts that will raise awareness about impaired driving. As always a dinner/dance fundraiser will cap off the event with the funds going to Hospice House and the Forest & Railway Museum.

Booth Space, event tickets and seminar registrations are still available.
