Entertainment News This Morning: (Weekdays at 10:20am)

Lots of folks have been Jonesing for Indy. Harrison Ford's latest adventure ``Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'' is on track to have the second-biggest Memorial Day opening ever. Only ``Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End'' tops Indy's US holiday weekend take. Disney's sequel ``The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian'' drops to second. ``Iron Man'' is still solid at number three.

The French film, ``The Class,'' is the unanimous winner of the Golden Palm award at the Cannes Film Festival. The docudrama was shot in a raw, improvisational style using real students and teachers in showing the drama that unfolds over one year at a junior high school. ``Il Divo'' won the jury award and Benicio Del Toro won the best-actor prize for ``Che.''

“Laugh In's'' old sign off, ``Goodnight Dick,'' has a deeper meaning now. The wacky half of Rowan and Martin from ``Laugh In'' died Saturday night in Los Angeles. Dick Martin was 86 and had respiratory problems.

Questions are swirling about Paul Newman's health. He's 83 and has backed out of directing a play at a theatre near his home in Connecticut. The theater says it's because of his health. But no details are being released.

Billy Powell, one of the original members and keyboard player Lynyrd Skynyrd, had emergency hip replacement surgery last Wednesday. Billy will be recovering over the next 3-6 weeks and will have to wear a hip brace for the next 3 months. It is expected that Powell will re-join Lynyrd Skynyrd on tour sometime in July.

Motley Crue's Tommy Lee is finally getting paid to do what he does best: act like a cartoon character. In fact, he'll lend his voice to new half-hour "toon" which is based loosely on his life and is titled "The Life and Times of Jimmy Jaxx." The project revolves around a rocker who attempts to balance his crazy lifestyle on the road with a calmer existence at home. The character is distracted, however, by his tattoos — which come to life and are constantly trying to lead him down the wrong path.

ZZ Top is looking forward to releasing its first-ever concert DVD, Live From Texas, on June 24th. Classic Rock Song Facts: (Weekdays at 1:20pm)

This was the first Stones song to also be the album title.

Ian Stewart, often considered "The 6th Stone," played the piano.

This was recorded around the same time as The Beatles Let It Be, but the similar titles were just a coincidence.

The Stones recorded this after the death of Brian Jones, and Mick Taylor had yet to join the band. As a result, Keith Richards played both acoustic and slide electric guitar.

Keith Richards' fingers began to bleed as he played acoustic guitar for hours while Mick Jagger worked with an engineer on the drum track. The title came from Keith's desire to record his track. At least that's the story the band tells. Here's an alternate meaning: The phrase "Let It Bleed" is intravenous drug user slang for successfully finding a vein.

It is ... Let It Bleed ... Rolling Stones !

Rumours of a Zeppelin reunion have floated since the band's one-off performance in London last December. Current speculation is that Zeppelin could play four shows at Toronto's Skydome this August. And that rumour may have foundation. The Skydome communications manager says, "It's my understanding that some preliminary discussions are going on, but August concerts are unlikely, due to Blue Jays and Argonauts games already in place.”

In 2004, Red Hot Chilli Peppers lead singer Anthony Kiedis released his autobiography, which shared this song's titled. In the book, he explained some of the lyrics: "Sarcastic Mr. Know-it-all" is Dave Navarro, whom Anthony refers to as "the King of sarcasm." "With the birds I'll share this lonely view" was inspired by birds that Anthony saw while he was singing outside of Flea's house, and he also says that the line has to do with how he felt like an outsider, looking in.”

David Cook took 56 per cent of the new record total of 97.5-(m) million votes cast. Cook had gone along with his brother to audition for the show and wasn't planning to try out, until suddenly a camera was on him and he was asked about his audition. He hugged his brother on stage and said, ``This is all your fault.''

This is about a man who pursues a woman for a sexual encounter. The song was inspired by the Soul music Glenn Frey was listening to when he started writing it on the piano.

Don Felder, who was the Eagles newest guitarist, came up with the opening bass line. In a 1975 Rolling Stone interview, Don Henley credited Felder with helping the Eagles get away from ballads: "With Don Felder, we can really rock. He's made us nastier."

In the same Rolling Stone article, Henley said that this song was challenging to sing live: "My voice has to be just right to hit the high notes. Sometimes I make it, sometimes I don't."

This was the Eagles second #1 single, preceded by "Best Of My Love" a year before.

Classic Rock Song Facts: (Weekdays at 1:20pm)

Cobain wrote this for Nirvana. It came together in a jam session when he played it for the band.

This was the first "Alternative" song to become a huge hit and helped ignite the "grunge" craze.

The video was inspired by the movie and song Rock And Roll High School" by the Ramones.

The group hated the video, but everyone else loved it. The concept was "Pep Rally from Hell." The cheerleaders were strippers. Two days before shooting the video, the band played a show at The Roxy Theater in Los Angeles where they invited everyone to come by the shoot and be in the video. The shoot, which took place at Culver City Studios in California, took 8 hours, so they had no problem getting the kids to come out of the bleachers and form a mosh pit at the end of the day.

Kathleen Hanna, the lead singer of the group Bikini Kill, gave Cobain the idea for the title when she spray painted "Kurt Smells Like Teen Spirit" on his bedroom wall. Cobain didn't know it when he wrote the song, but Teen Spirit was a brand of deodorant marketed to young girls. Kurt thought Hanna was complimenting him on his rebellious spirit.

It is ... Smells Like Teens Spirit ... Nirvana !
