Erik admits he got played by four ``crazy, sexy women.'' And he was talked into giving up his Individual Immunity on ``Survivor.'' Erik had a guaranteed ticket to the ``Survivor'' final four after winning the Immunity Challenge on last night's show. But the four remaining women somehow convinced him to give it up as a sign of trust. James says Erik is now the ``dumbest Survivor ever.'' Sunday's one- (m) million-dollar season finale will be all female: Natalie, Amanda, Cirie and Parvati. Here's more on Survivor with Collette, our Survivor corespondent.

Another Canadian has become a big name at the Playboy Mansion. Jayde Nicole is Playboy's 2008 Playmate of the Year. The 22-year-old brunette bombshell is Canada's first Playmate of the Year since 1982, when Shannon Tweed was honoured with the title. Nicole is a local celebrity in her home town of Port Perry, in southern Ontario, where she graduated with honours from Port Perry High School in 2004.

Snoop Dogg is becoming a ``Soap Dogg.'' The rapper is appearing on ``One Life To Live'' today and tomorrow as the special guest performer at the bachelorette party of Adriana Cramer. In this scene from the show, Snoop congratulates the bride-to-be.

Those born on May 9th share a birth date Steve Katz of Blood, Sweat and Tears (1945) as well as Billy Joel (1949).

In 1962, producer George Martin signed the Beatles to their first recording contract.

In 1965, the Beatles and Donovan were in the audience as Bob Dylan played the first of two nights at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

In 1992, Bruce Springsteen made his network T-V debut, performing three songs on "Saturday Night Live."

In 2001, James Myers, who wrote ``Rock Around the Clock,'' considered the granddady of all rock 'n' roll songs, died in Tampa at 81.

R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck took a swipe at U.S. President George W. Bush in the current issue of Uncut magazine, saying that his competence level is perfect for a management position at McDonald's. In the magazine Buck answered fans' questions on a wide range of subjects and when asked what career he would give President Bush if he could have him switch professions, Buck answered, "Well, since he's failed at everything else he's done, he needs to step down the management level a little.

The next two months will have a whole lot of Heart with three releases of classic and recent music. On May 13, a Heart twofer set will be released combining their landmark, multimillion selling albums Little Queen (1977) and Dog & Butterfly (1979) into one eco-friendly package. The set boasts five bonus tracks, including a live recording of Heart performing Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven." And also look for another greatest hits package to be released soon. It all coincides with the Heart's three-month, 40-plus date nationwide summer tour.

Def Leppard's new album, "Songs from the Sparkle Lounge," debuted at No. 5 on the album chart, earning Def Leppard their highest-charting debut since their 1992 album Adrenalize. Def Leppard have also tapped Billy Idol to support them on a string of summer dates.

Classic Rock Song Facts: (Weekdays at 1:20pm)

Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty sang lead on this, but when he was writing it he thought they were going to use someone else.

Many of the lyrics are Thomas' ode to his wife, who is Puerto Rican. She ended up in the video.

This won Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year and Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals at the 2000 Grammys. The album “Supernatural” also won for Best Rock Album and Album Of The Year.

Clive Davis is a legendary record executive who was the mastermind behind this album. Santana had not had a hit since "Hold On" in 1982, so Davis teamed him up with contemporary musicians like Rob Thomas, Everlast and Lauryn Hill to make sure the younger generation took notice. The result was a wildly successful album that went over well with Santana's old fans and created a legion of new ones. This was the first single, and it spent 12 weeks at #1.

Santana has the distinction of waiting the longest between his first charting single and first #1 hit. In 1969, "Tango" hit #56 in the US, and 30 years later this was #1.

It is ... Smooth ... Santana !

There will be no more easy-going, dreadlocked vibes on American Idol this season, as Jason Castro was shown the door on last night’s show. Before being voted off, Castro admitted the pace of the show was catching up to him.

Remember the woman who played boarding-school supervisor Mrs. Garrett on ``The Facts of Life?'' She is giving the term ``cougar'' a new meaning. Eighty-two-year-old Charlotte Rae makes love to Adam Sandler in his new comedy, ``You Don't Mess with the Zohan.'' She jokes, ``on a table from one to 10, I rate him, 'Not bad.''' Sandler plays an Israeli commando who goes undercover as a hair stylist. The movie opens June 6th.

Robin Williams and his wife, Marsha, are promising that things won't get ugly in their divorce case. They say they want to keep things ``respectful'' for the sake of their kids. Williams told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show that sometimes divorce can be like ``circumcision with a weed whacker.'' But he says their divorce will be done with love.

In 1962, Jamaican Chris Blackwell launched Island Records in London.

In 1972, Billy Preston became the first rock performer to headline at New York's Radio City Music Hall.

In 1981, the debut album by Loverboy was certified gold in the U-S.

In 1996, several hundred fans lined up outside an Ottawa club, Barrymore's, to get into what was billed as a "surprise" appearance by the Tragically Hip. The Kingston, Ontario band was promoting their album, "Trouble at the Henhouse," which was released three days later.

In 1998, the three surviving Beatles and John Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, won a legal battle to block the C-D release of a Beatles recording made at the Star Club in Hamburg in 1962. The drunken performance had already been released on a vinyl L-P in 1977.

Porn giant Vivid Entertainment is releasing “Jimi Hendrix, the Sex Tape” in-stores and on-line. Vivid says it features Hendrix in a threesome ... but the Hendrix family company says it's not Jimi. Vivid is so confident of the authenticity of the 40-year-old footage that it recently offered $100,000 to Experience Hendrix, the family company of the legendary guitarist, if it can provide verifiable proof that Hendrix is not the "star" of the tape. Perhaps they need to consult the “Plaster Caster.”

Bob Seger is heading back to the studio next month to start recording the follow-up to his 2006 C-D “Face the Promise” which was his first album of all new material in 11 years. No word on when he plans to release the new disc. Seger has also licensed "Her Strut" for use in the video game Grand Theft Auto Four, which comes out this month. It's the first time he's licensed a song for use in a video game.

Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White of The White Stripes are featured in a new documentary that tells the story of the electric guitar. The three guitarists were chosen for their impact across three different generations. They each discuss and demonstrate how they adapted the guitar to their own unique styles. “It Might Get Loud” will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Classic Rock Song Facts: (Weekdays at 1:20pm)

This was originally recorded by Blind Willie McTell, a popular Blues musician who played in Georgia until his death in 1959.

Duane Allman started playing this after hearing the version by an influential Blues musician named Taj Mahal. His brother Gregg gave him the Taj Mahal album as well as a bottle of medicine for his cold.

The next time Gregg saw him, Duane had emptied the bottle, washed the label off, and was using it to play slide guitar. He practicing over and over and drove his band mates crazy.

The band performed this at Duane Allman's funeral, with Dickey Betts playing Duane's guitar.

After Duane's death, Betts played the slide guitar on this at concerts. He was reluctant to do so because he did not want to compete with Allman's legend.

Statesboro is a city in Georgia not far from Macon, where the band lived.

It is ... Statesboro Blues ... Allman Brothers !

Sunday night is about to get a little less sexy. The Oxygen Network announced yesterday its ``Talk Sex'' call-in show with Sue Johanson is ending its run after six seasons. The final show airs at midnight Sunday. Johanson admits she's ``going to miss it terribly,'' and will ``miss playing with sex toys.'' Now 77 years old, Johanson has been on T-V for 32 years. She says she wasn't pushed out, but thinks it's time to make room for somebody else.

Mario's ``Dancing With The Stars'' days are over. He was voted out of the competition last night on the 100th episode of the series.

Simon Cowell is making a prediction for the next ``American Idol'' elimination. And after Jason Castro's performances last night -- Cowell shared the prediction with him.

Simon says the only thing Jason Castro and Bob Marley have in common is their hair. Castro sang ``I Shot the Sheriff'' and Simon thought it sounded like a ``first round audition massacre.'' Later in the show, Castro sang ``Mr. Tamborine Man'' and forgot some of the lyrics. The reviews were mixed for Syesha Mercado. Tonight is the results show, and the contestants are whittled down to three.

In 1966, ``Monday, Monday'' by the Mamas and Papas reached the top of the charts.

In 1972, the Rolling Stones released “Exile on Main Street.''

In 1991, 54-year-old Rolling Stone Bill Wyman ended his 22-month marriage to 21-year-old Mandy Smith. She received a 6.5 (m) million-dollar divorce settlement, even though she spent only eight weeks with Wyman during their marriage. They first met when Smith was only 13.

In 1994, 1,322 guitarists, led by Randy Bachman, gathered in Vancouver to play Bachman-Turner Overdrive's ``Takin' Care of Business'' for 68 minutes and 40 seconds. The outdoor strumathon set two world records -- the greatest number of guitarists and the longest mass guitar jam session.

The Police reunion will come to a smashing conclusion this summer in the city where it all began. The band played their first North American gig at CBGB's in 1978, now thirty years later, The Police will play their final concert somewhere in NYC sometime this summer. The show will be a charity event and The Police will also commitment $1 million to a tree planting initiative in New York. Sting explained they have such an affinity for the Big Apple.

Neil Young plans to release his entire music archive on Blu-ray discs, a sign that the discs' capabilities are building appeal among musicians as well as movie studios. Blu-ray discs hold much more data than DVDs, are easily updated over the Internet and offer better picture and sound quality.

David Gilmour of Pink Floyd will release “Live In Gdansk” in September. The album was recorded during the last concert of Gilmour's 2006 summer tour, which was held in front of 50,000 people at the shipyards in Gdansk, Poland. The concert was the only show on which Gilmour performed with an orchestra, using the 40-strong string section of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra.

Classic Rock Song Facts: (Weekdays at 1:20pm)

This song is about transvestites who come to New York City and become prostitutes. The title is what they say to potential customers.

Each verse introduces a new character. There is Holly, Candy, Little Joe, Sugar Plum Fairy, Lou and Jackie. The characters are all cronies of the infamous Andy Warhol Factory.

This was not banned by the notoriously conservative BBC or by many US radio stations because censors did not understand some of the more sexual phrases.

Reed recorded this 2 years after leaving The Velvet Underground. This was Reed's biggest hit.

David Bowie produced the album. He was a big fan of Reed.

The sax solo at the end was played by Ronnie Ross, a Jazz musician who lived near Bowie in England.

The famous bass line was played by a session musician named Herbie Flowers. He was paid about 35 dollars for his work.

It is ... Walk on The Wild Side ... Lou Reed !

Relay For Life - Ball Hockey Tourney

The 2nd Annual Relay for Life Charity Ball Hockey Tournament is May3-4 at the Roll-a-dome. 100% of the proceeds go towards the Canadian Cancer Society via the Relay For Life. Carmen Electra is going to try marriage for a third time. She's engaged to Rob Patterson who used to be a guitarist with Korn. Electra divorced another rocker, Dave Navarro in February of last year after more than three years of marriage, and was previously married to Dennis Rodman for just five months.

Shirley Temple Black should have been out whooping it up on Wednesday, celebrating her milestone 80th birthday. Instead, it was a low-key celebration because she's nursing a broken arm. She broke it recent when she fell at her home but she is doing fine.

Letters from Denzel Washington and Woody Harrelson didn't help Wesley Snipes. A judge is ordering Snipes to spend three years in the slammer for breaking tax laws. Snipes was hoping for leniency and his lawyers say they will appeal.

NBC isn't revealing anything, but Jimmy Fallon is rumoured to be closer to taking over Conan O'Brien's ``Late Night'' job. For months, Fallon has been considered the top choice to take over for O'Brien when he steps down next year and goes to the ``Tonight Show,'' replacing Jay Leno.

In 1974, Pam Morrison, widow of Doors' lead singer Jim Morrison, died of a heroin overdose.

In 1979, the movie ''Rock and Roll High School,'' featuring the Ramones, premiered.

In 1981, guitarist-keyboardist Denny Laine announced he was leaving Wings, Paul McCartney's band. McCartney, reluctant to tour because of death threats following John Lennon's murder the previous December, decided to disband Wings.

In 1990, the Fender Strat Jimi Hendrix used to play the ``Star-Spangled Banner'' at Woodstock in 1969 was sold at an auction for a world-record 295-thousand dollars.

In 1992, Brian (Too Loud) MacLeod, from Chilliwack and the Headpins, died in Vancouver of cancer at 39.

Phil Collins appears to have dramatically announced his retirement from the music industry. In an interview with The Times newspaper in London, Collins said he had no plans to tour again and that any future writing was unlikely to become an album.

Sir Paul McCartney will play a massive Independence Concert to hundreds of thousands of people in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev. The concert will take place in the city’s main Independence Square on June 14th. McCartney was invited to play the concert by Viktor Pinchuk, the son-in-law of the former Ukrainian president Leonid Kuchma. The concert is expected to eclipse a performance Sir Elton John held in Independence Square last year, which was attended by 200,000 people. Paul's show will be free to attend and will be broadcast live on Ukrainian TV.

Students from La Frontalière High School, in Coaticook, Québec have released of a tribute CD to Metallica. “Teach 'Em All: A High School Tribute To Metallica” will be officially released May 23^rd. The High School Tribute project is now in its third year. In 2006 and 2007 the school produced two tributes to KISS: Christine Sixteen and Christine Sixteen 2. They moved over 1000 copies combined and were sold in more than 20 countries around the world.

Classic Rock Song Facts: (Weekdays at 1:20pm)

This is the last song on the Rock Opera, “Tommy.”

The message of unification and hope in this song was inspired by Meher Baba, a guru Pete Townshend was following.

This and "Pinball Wizard" are the only songs from the album The Who continued to play live after they toured for Tommy.

The Who played all of Tommy at Woodstock, and they performed this song just as the sun was rising on the third morning of the festival in 1969. That image from Woodstock helped launch Roger Daltrey's career as a sex symbol and The Who's success in America.

This title of this song is also the title of a Biopic about Who drummer Keith Moon. The full title of the movie is See Me, Feel Me: Keith Moon Naked for Your Pleasure. It is produced by Who frontman Roger Daltrey and Mike Myers plays Moon.
