Last night on ``American Idol'' Kristy Lee Cook brought out her own sign that said ``Kristy's Seat'' for her spot in the bottom three. That was before Ryan Seacrest ever even said a word about how she did. Kristy was in the bottom three but it was it was Ramiele (RAY'-me-el) who was sent home.

``American Idol'' contestant David Cook says his trip to the hospital ``got blown out of proportion.'' Cook has high blood pressure, and he was taken to a hospital after Tuesday's show when he had heart palpitations. He was treated but was back on last night's show. Cook says his blood pressure spiked, so he went to the hospital as a precaution. Cook has also been under tremendous stress because his brother, who has cancer, suffered a setback within the last week.

``ER'' will be back for a 15th and final season in the fall. And, even though the show's about to end, N-B-C says it will be introducing new characters during the final season. As for other shows, ``Scrubs'' will end its N-B-C run next month. Rumours have been swirling that it'll move to A-B-C. But, that hasn't been confirmed. ``Lipstick Jungle'' and ``Friday Night Lights'' have been saved.

A ``Saturday Night Live'' segment is coming to Thursdays, for a limited time only. ``S-N-L Thursday Night Live'' will air during primetime for three Thursdays in October, as a run-up to the presidential election. Each will be a live 30-minute edition of ``Weekend Update.'' N-B-C isn't saying if Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers will anchor or if there will be a different team behind the S-N-L news desk on Thursday nights.

In 1989, 23 people were arrested after fans tried to crash a Grateful Dead concert in Pittsburgh.

The guitar riff in Deep Purple’s ‘Smoke On The Water’ has been voted the best rock riff ever by students from guitar schools in England. Rounding out the Top 5: Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ ... Aerosmith’s ‘Walk This Way’ ... Jimi Hendrix's ‘Purple Haze’ ... Guns N’ Roses' ‘Sweet Child O Mine.’

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich says the band will play songs from its upcoming new album this summer on at least one of its festival dates. Metallica's yet-to-be-titled ninth studio album is tentatively due out in September. The band is said to be in the final stages of recording.

This is one of Springsteen's favorites. He almost always plays it at the impromptu bar gigs he is famous for on the Jersey Shore.

Springsteen: "The first verse actually happened, the second verse mostly happened, the third verse, of course, is happening now."

In concert, Springsteen often extends this to over 10 minutes.

This was one of 7 US top 10 hits on Born In The U.S.A.

Springsteen performed this June 25, 1993 on the last David Letterman Show on NBC. Letterman is a huge fan but had never had Springsteen on. Bruce did go on the show a few more times after it moved to CBS.

Steve Guttenberg may have to report back to the ``Police Academy.'' He was voted off ``Dancing with the Stars'' last night. Of course, it was April Fool's Day and the celebs got into the act. In a put-on segment about the stars' hobbies, Priscilla Presley said she runs a psychic hotline on the side and Kristi Yamaguchi was shown training for a hot dog eating competition.

Oprah Winfrey says her dog was ``a true love'' of her life. And as a tribute to her cocker spaniel Sophie, Winfrey plans to dedicate a show investigating abuses at puppy mills. The show will air Friday. Winfrey's dog died last month from kidney failure. Winfrey says her show Friday is for anybody anywhere who loves a dog.

William Peterson is sticking around to solve more cases on ``CSI.'' Petersen has signed up to play Grissom for one more season. The contract reportedly will make him one of the highest-paid actors on TV, with an annual salary of about $600,000 a week. He won't even appear in every episode. The deal gives Peterson the flexibility to do a play or movies during the season.

In 1957, Elvis Presley played two concerts at Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens. They were two of only four shows Elvis ever performed outside the U-S -- the others being the same year in Ottawa and Vancouver.

In 1971, Ringo Starr's first solo single, "It Don't Come Easy," was released.

In 1990, Lou Gramm departed as lead singer of Foreigner.

U2 and Live Nation, the world's largest concert promoter, have agreed to a 12-year global relationship. The company will partner with the band for touring, merchandising, its website and other efforts. In describing the deal, Bono said, "We've been dating for over 20 years now, it's about time we tied the knot.” U2's relationship with Universal for recording and publishing is not affected by this deal.

Oasis are planning a summer tour of North America. Oasis will play their first live show in over two years in Seattle August 26th before crossing the border to play shows in Vancouver August 27th, and then on to Edmonton and Calgary. Ticket details have not been announced.

Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger has been convicted of drunken driving. Kroeger, whose real name is Chad Turton, had almost twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system when he was stopped for speeding in Surrey, B-C, in June 2006. He was driving a 175-thousand-dollar Lamborghini at the time. Kroeger will be sentenced May 1st. He faces a fine or a temporary driving ban.

Scott Weiland was only half right when he told a concert crowd last month that they were witnessing the final Velvet Revolver tour. It turns out that they were witnessing HIS final Velvet Revolver tour as the band gave the difficult frontman the boot. Velvet Revolver plan to carry on without Weiland who is heading out on tour this year with his old band Stone Temple Pilots. Said Slash, "This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn't 100% committed to either. Among other things, his increasingly erratic on-stage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on."

Classic Rock Song Facts: (Weekdays at 1:20pm)

Written by Foreigner mainstays Lou Gramm and Mick Jones, this song is known for its distinctive guitar riff and sexually charged lyrics.

This was a big hit for Foreigner, but their biggest came in 1984 with "I Want to Know What Love Is" which took a more sensitive tone.

Nothing conveys testosterone-charged sexuality quite like this song, and it has been used in several movies and TV shows as a result, including Blades of Glory, Bones, WKRP In Cincinnati and The Simpsons.

The guitar riff was sampled for the 1988 Tone Loc hit "Funky Cold Medina."
