Entertainment News This Morning: (Weekdays at 10:20am)

Trace Adkins got canned and former British tabloid editor Piers Morgan got crowned the winner on ``The Celebrity Apprentice.'' On last night's season finale, the guys' final task was to hold a grand charity event. Adkins was in charge of taking care of the talent, The Backstreet Boys, while Morgan was responsible for the auction and food. Morgan's team raised more money than Adkins, while Adkins' team sold more tickets. Here's Trump making the announcement by first addressing Trace Adkins.

Trump said Morgan ultimately ``did an amazing job and beat the hell out of everybody.'' Piers Morgan's charity is the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund which provides help for families of United States military personnel lost in the line of duty. Morgan's brother has fought in two tours of duty in Iraq and his brother-in-law has fought in two tours of duty in Afghanistan.

Some truth about the upcoming ``X-Files'' movie is being thrown out there. Producers say the sprawling alien mythology from the TV show is not part of the movie's plot. But, ``X-Files'' creator Chris Carter says there is a reference to Dana Scully's seemingly supernatural son, William, who was born in season eight and later given up for adoption. The new ``X-Files'' movie will be in theatres July 25th.

In 1976, Genesis opened its first North American tour with Phil Collins as lead vocalist, in Buffalo.

In 1992, Ozzy Osbourne and several fans suffered cuts and bruises after about 600 people rushed the stage during a concert in Irvine, California.

In 1996, Phil Collins announced he was leaving Genesis after 25 years. He has since returned.

Classic Rock Song Facts: (Weekdays at 1:20pm)

When lead vocalist Bon Scott introduced this song at concerts he would say half-jokingly that it was about lead guitarist Angus Young. But Angus himself said, "I wasn't really a bad sort of kid."

The song was written by Malcolm Young, Angus Young and Bon Scott.

It is ... Problem Child ... AC/DC.

Entertainment News This Morning: (Weekdays at 10:20am)

``American Idol'' won't have a reason to say ``Chikezie Eze'' any more. Chikezie was kicked off the show last night. Syesha Mercado and Jason Castro were the other lowest vote-getters. Meanwhile, Ryan Seacrest says ``Idol'' will not let tracks by the contestants on iTunes count toward the iTunes best-seller chart because it would affect the competition, but if it was allowed, tracks by ``Idol'' finalists would probably take the top five positions. Finally, contrary to reports, Carly Smithson is not pregnant.

Also ... American Idol judge Paula Abdul will kick off NBC's ``Today Show” outdoor concert series on April 25th.

Robin Williams' marriage is falling apart. His wife, Marsha Garces Williams, filed for divorce in San Francisco Friday, citing irreconcilable differences. They've been married nearly 19 years. They met when Garces Williams was a nanny for Zachary, Williams' son from a previous marriage. The Williams also have two children, Zelda and Cody.

And then there was two. Trace Adkins and Piers Morgan battle for the title of “Celebrity Apprentice” tonight on NBC. CBS has March Madness basketball so “Survivor” returns next Thursday.

The Drive Nooner - Random Rock News: (Weekdays at 12:10pm)

Bon Jovi axeman, Richie Sambora, could be criminally charged with child endangerment. Richie Sambora was busted for DUI with 10-year-old daughter Ava in the car, along with another juvenile and another adult -- a woman. If Sambora was driving drunk, he could be charged with endangering the two kids. Sambora has not been charged with endangerment but the Laguna Beach P.D. is "actively investigating."

The Rolling Stones have been permitted to play Blackpool, England after the city’s council lifted a forty-four year ban. The Stones were originally banned when fifty people were hospitalized after riots broke out during a 1964 gig. The incident allegedly happened when a man tried to spit at Brian Jones. Keith Richards warned the man against it and then proceeded to kick him in the face before a mass brawl broke out, with the band swiftly exiting the stage.

Dr Pepper claims it will give everyone in America a free can of Dr. Pepper if Axl Rose releases his ``Chinese Democracy'' album in 2008. Well, everyone except ex-GnR guitarists Slash and Buckethead.

A Dr Pepper spokesman compares the effort it took to create Dr Pepper with Axl's 17-year effort to make the album, and he says once ``Chinese Democracy'' is released, ``People will refer to it as 'Dr Pepper for the ears.''

Classic Rock Song Facts: (Weekdays at 1:20pm)

This was written and originally recorded by Blues great Robert Johnson.

Led Zeppelin first played this for a BBC session in 1969, but the song was never released on an album. It was placed on the Box Set in 1990, and it was also made a bonus track on the Coda album for the Complete Studio Recordings.

Jimmy Page used a 12-string acoustic guitar to play this song.

The lyric, "I've had no lovin' since my baby been gone" came from B.B. King's "Woke Up This Morning (My Baby Was Gone)."

It is ... Traveling Riverside Blues ... Led Zeppelin.

Entertainment News This Morning: (Weekdays at 10:20am)

The ``American Idol'' judges called him ``bold, brave and potentially insane.'' David Cook sang a slowed-down rock version of Michael Jackson's ``Billie Jean'' last night, a version first done by Soundgarden's Chris Cornell. I thought Cook was brilliant. Here's a clip.

``American Idol'' still continues to dominate television ratings, but the return of ``Dancing With The Stars'' had a strong showing. Last week's two editions of ``American Idol'' were Numbers 1 and 2, while the two editions of ``Dancing with the Stars'' were Numbers 3 and 4.

Speaking of Dancing. Penn Jillette didn't have the magic on the dance floor. He's the first celeb voted off this season on ``Dancing with the Stars.'' Last night was a double-elimination results show. Former tennis champ Monica Seles had the lowest overall score, and she's the first woman to go.

An extra million people tuned into the CBS show ``How I Met Your Mother'' to see Britney Spears in a bit part. Her cameo on the show was seen by 10.6 million viewers. That's about a million more than the usual audience for the show.

The Drive Nooner - Random Rock News: (Weekdays at 12:10pm)

Usually the VH1 Rock Honours pay tribute to a few bands, but The Who will get the glory all to themselves. The Who will be the only act who will be honoured at the next Rock Honours, which will be taped July 12th in Los Angeles and will air on VH1 on July 17th. Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will perform, along with other acts who have yet to be announced.

A previously unreleased song featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd's original lineup may surface on the band's next studio album, which is expected out in early 2009. Guitarist Gary Rossington tells Billboard.com that he recently unearthed the song "Cottonmouth Country" from the archives with the late Ronnie Van Zant on vocals. Rossington says. "It's a cool track, pretty cool lyrics -- it's about the swamps.”

We had the rumour last week and confirmation today. Yes have announced their first tour in more than five years. Celebrating their 40th anniversary, the “Close To The Edge and Back” tour will have them doing 26 North American shows including a stop in Vancouver at GM Place on August 14th. Jon Anderson says the reason for the long layoff had to do with "everybody doing different things, then all of a sudden there we are with our 40th anniversary coming up." Joining Anderson will be the classic Yes line-up with Chris Squire on bass, Steve Howe on guitar, Alan White on drums, and Oliver Wakeman on keyboards in place of his father, Rick Wakeman.

Classic Rock Song Facts: (Weekdays at 1:20pm)

This is about the ambition and dedication required to be a successful band. It also criticizes American preachers who swindle followers out of their money.

The Edge has said the guitar riff is influenced by The Stooges' (Iggy Pop's band) "1969."

This was U2's first #1 hit in England.

The first single off Rattle And Hum. It was also the first song performed in their tour documentary Rattle And Hum.

On the Zoo TV tour, Bono would perform this as Mirrorball Man, wearing a shiny preacher's suit that looked like a disco ball.

This won the Grammy for Best Rock Performance by Duo or Group in 1989. It was also the 1988 Rolling Stone Readers Pick for Best Single.

It is ... Desire ... U2.
