Relieve yourself on the Carbon Tax Print E-mail
Council has approved writing to the province to seek relief from the Carbon Tax, introduced in the latest budget...Do we deserve a break from the Carbon tax?  Or is it a case of "Hey nobody's forcing you to live in a climate where you have to use more energy to keep warm!"..... Will our request get us anything?  Will they say hey let's send off a care package to that gaggle, or whatever the collective pronoun is for shivering Northerners, up there....Let's bus up a box of coupons for free cheeseburgers...because they deserve a break today from the Carbon tax.  Are we worthy?  Do you think after they read our request they'll toss it into their vermi-composter and let the worms have at'er!  Whaddaya think?
