Marriage advice from a new book :) Print E-mail

Today on the show,

I had a chat with Dr. Terri Orbuch, who has written the book "5 simple steps to take your marriage from good to great"

One thing caught my eye when reading about this book, she says if you are the kind of person that forgets Valentine's Day, or Anniverseries, it's not the end of the world.. or your marriage, as long as you
do the little things.

Here's the interview.

Here's the TiVo recap.

Canada's worst driver, Pat tests Al's driving knowledge Print E-mail

Thanks for checking the blog.

First off, here is today's TiVo recap.

Canada's worst driver is coming back to PG in April!
They're looking for show nominations :)
I talked with Merideth from the show, to see what they are looking for.

Since we are looking for Canada's worst driver, I thought I would give Al a
driver's knowledge test.
See how he did.

Trade Deadline moves Print E-mail

I called this blog "trade deadline moves" although
lack thereof is more of a proper term.
It was such a dead morning that I was actually hoping they would
announce Mats Sundin was coming out of retirement and giving the Canucks
another go... or that Peter Forsberg was totally healthy and back in trade talks...
neither happened.

Trade deadline is always a fun morning, as teams make their final
moves for the Stanley Cup push, or trade away for a better shot next year.
This year... was kind of boring.

Canucks didn't make any real moves, even though they were rumored
to be upgrading heavily on defence.

Canucks acquired F Yan Stastny from the Blues
Blues get F Pierre Cedric Labrie from the Canucks

Canucks acquired D Sean Zimmerman (and conditional 6th round pick) from Phoenix
Coyotes acquired Matthieu Schneider from the Canucks

Should the Canucks have made a bigger move on trade deadline day, or
do they have enough to go deeper than the 2nd round of the playoffs?
I would have liked a couple more additions to defence, especially since the
D have been injury prone this year.
Now that the trade deadline is over, we'll find out of this team can go deep.

If you have any comments on the trade deadline, and moves that
the Canucks did (or did not) make. email me.

Today on the show, another 99-3 The Drive and Pat Staron exclusive.. I was able to
get some comments from head of Team USA Hockey, Brian Burke, as we get set for the big showdown tomorrow. :)
Have a listen.

Also on the show, told my 'accidental cheers for Slovakia" story, and talked about who
should carry the flag into BC Place tomorrow... it's all in the TiVo recap..
