In 1958, after the Province of BC established and began the restoration of Barkerville, there was a general call for artefacts to fill the Barkerville displays. The motto of "it may be junk in your attic but a jewel in Barkerville" brought a huge response from the general public. Now, with 50 years behind it's restoration, Barkerville would like to fill it's anniversary album with photo's of all those staff (merchants, contractors, maintenance, curatorial, security, administration or campgrounds) who have taken part in the efforts to "keep the dream alive" in Barkerville's on-going operation. So if you or your friends or family have worked in Barkerville in the last 50 years (1958-2008) please send us your staff photo's and be included in the site “Family Photo Album."Please contact Jody.
